We’re Open, Please Wear Your Mask
Last month, we announced we were reopening for all of our podiatry services. Our priority for keeping our patients and staff healthy has remained the same. Among our requirements and safety guidelines, we kindly ask that you please wear a mask. The CDC continues to stress the importance of face coverings. They help to protect not only you but also our community. The team at Clark Podiatry Center joins our nation’s efforts to see fewer people impacted by COVID-19.
Why do I need to wear a mask?
Even if you don’t think you have symptoms of COVID-19, you still may be putting your loved ones at risk. There are cases where people have little or no symptoms of the virus, but they still pass it on. Help to protect your health and the health of the staff by wearing a face covering. While we are limiting the number of guests that can accompany each patient, a mask is requested.
How do I know if I’m wearing my mask the right way?
Visit the CDC’s website to learn more about face coverings. The first step is to wash your hands thoroughly and only to wear a clean mask. You then want to make sure you are covering your mouth and nose, and the cloth is secure under your chin. Lastly, your mask should fit well around the sides of your face.
Are cloth face coverings the same as the ones in the doctor’s office?
No, medical staff and first responders use PPE (personal protective equipment). Examples include N95 respirators, in addition to surgical masks. These critical supplies should only be reserved for this group, as they are in high-risk situations.
We remain at your service for your foot and ankle needs. Telemedicine appointments are available if you are more comfortable with this option. If you have any questions or urgent concerns, call us at (732) 382-3470 or schedule an appointment online with Dr. Brandon A. Macy, a board-certified podiatrist. The New Jersey Children’s Foot Health Institute is also part of Clark Podiatry Center.
