Last month, we announced we were reopening for all of our podiatry services. Our priority for keeping our patients and staff healthy has remained the same. Among our requirements and safety guidelines, we kindly ask that you please wear a mask. The CDC continues to stress the importance of face coverings. They help to protect not only you but also our community. The team at Clark Podiatry Center joins our nation’s efforts to see fewer people impacted by COVID-19.

Why do I need to wear a mask?

Even if you don’t think you have symptoms of COVID-19, you still may be putting your loved ones at risk. There are cases where people have little or no symptoms of the virus, but they still pass it on. Help to protect your health and the health of the staff by wearing a face covering. While we are limiting the number of guests that can accompany each patient, a mask is requested.

How do I know if I’m wearing my mask the right way?

Visit the CDC’s website to learn more about face coverings. The first step is to wash your hands thoroughly and only to wear a clean mask. You then want to make sure you are covering your mouth and nose, and the cloth is secure under your chin. Lastly, your mask should fit well around the sides of your face.

Are cloth face coverings the same as the ones in the doctor’s office?

No, medical staff and first responders use PPE (personal protective equipment). Examples include N95 respirators, in addition to surgical masks. These critical supplies should only be reserved for this group, as they are in high-risk situations.

We remain at your service for your foot and ankle needs. Telemedicine appointments are available if you are more comfortable with this option. If you have any questions or urgent concerns, call us at (732) 382-3470 or schedule an appointment online with Dr. Brandon A. Macy, a board-certified podiatrist. The New Jersey Children’s Foot Health Institute is also part of Clark Podiatry Center.

Here's the latest update regarding our services during the COVID-19 crisis and Governor Murphy’s orders issued over this past weekend.

Our office is doing what we can to operate in the best interest of our patients and staff.

To that end, we're taking the following measures;

1.  As an essential service, our office will remain open from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM on Monday-Friday. We may adjust hours according to demand.

2.  The goal of offices such as ours remaining open is to keep our patients safe, out of danger and out of emergency rooms. This refers to people with emergencies such as injuries or infections and our regular at-risk patients with conditions such as diabetes and severe circulatory issues.

3.  If you have an urgent matter such as an infection or injury, we'll work to get you in for an appointment as soon as possible. We have an x-ray in the office, so you don’t have to visit a separate facility if you're in need.

4.  If you are ill, please stay home. If you have a regular appointment, feel free to call us and we’ll reschedule at a later date when things return to normal.

5.  Due to the social distancing recommendations, at the office, we request that you come alone if possible. If not possible, then bring no more than one person with you. Once checking in we'll request that you return to your car until we are ready to place you into a treatment room.

The State and Federal Governments have eased regulations concerning telemedicine and insurance companies have agreed to cover telemedicine visits as they would for an in-person office visit. We have made arrangements to provide telemedicine visits for those of you who have questions, need follow-ups or want to know if a problem warrants an in-office visit. These appointments need to be scheduled much like any other visit and can be performed outside of normal office hours.

The telemedicine process is quite simple, safe and secure. No programs need to be downloaded.  When you schedule an appointment we'll send you the personalized room link to connect to the program to start the visit at the scheduled time. Webcam and microphone capabilities are obviously required, along with Chrome, Firefox or Safari internet browsers.

At any time, you may reach us at 732-382-3470. There's an emergency number on the recording if you reach us outside of office hours. You can also make an appointment request on our website.

We want you to remain safe and err on the side of caution. We urge you to follow the recommendations of all government authorities until this crisis passes so we can "flatten the curve". As always, we at Clark Podiatry Center remain at your service to provide the best podiatry care possible.

Sincerely,
Brandon Macy, D.P.M.
and the Staff of Clark Podiatry Center
